Upcoming Attractions
Dear friends,
I will be involved in several projects in the coming months:
For the fourth year in a row, I will be moderating an Art and Ecology Symposium at the Catskill Art Space in Livingston Manor NY, on Saturday, April 25th, from 3 - 5pm. The panel will feature artists Daniel Giordano, Davana Robedee and Kathy Ruttenberg whose shows are closing that day in the CAS galleries.
I am helping to organize multiple Fall of Freedom events May 1st, aka International Workers Day, in Richmond VA. Venues include Antennae Gallery, Manchester Contemporary, 6 East Broad Street, ArtSpace Gallery and more TBD. Fall of Freedom asks creatives to take a stand in community for equality for all and freedom from state-sponsored censorship and violence.
Work from my Crazy River project will be featured at the inaugural exhibition opening May 9th in the art gallery at the Frost Valley YMCA in Claryville NY. The gallery is located in the historic Forstmann Castle, a mansion built by wool merchant Julius Forstmann in the early 1900s. The show will be open during Upstate Art Weekend and through the summer.
I will have new work on view at Material Projects in Ellenville NY during Upstate Art Weekend, June 25th through June 28th. Material Projects is an artist-owned space under the direction of Kelly O’Brien.
Plans are in the works for a two-person show at Gallery 52 in Jeffersonville NY with artist/entrepreneur Trey Speegle. Opening and dates TBD.
Hope to see you all either in Richmond or in the Catskills!
